Moyes to battle North East neighbours as Sunderland line up Man United swoop

The Sunderland fans who are gathered at the bar in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports linking the club with a move for a new addition.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, new Sunderland manager David Moyes is set to contact Manchester United over the availability of Adnan Januzaj this summer.

The Scotsman has always admired the 21-year old and was the man in charge of the Red Devils when the Belgian scored his first goal for the club at the Stadium of Light in 2013.

He has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford in recent seasons and endured a miserable spell on loan at Borussia Dortmund last season.

Moyes is keen for the Black Cats to avoid a repeat of the last couple of seasons with them in a relegation fight and is looking to add quality to the squad.

North East neighbours Middlesborough have previously been linked with an audacious loan move, for a man who could struggle to impose himself on Jose Mourinho’s plans.

Could Januzaj benefit from a Premier League loan move? A lost cause?! Let us know below…
