Sunderland appear to be edging closer to offloading one of their highest earners from the wage bill this summer.
It is being claimed that the Senegal international has already agreed to personal terms with the Turkish club, who are continuing their negotiations with the League One side over a deal.
The defender, who is valued at £4.95million by Transfermarkt, is believed to be keen on a move and it is thought that the talks between him and Trabzonspor were productive.
Jack Ross is keen to offload Djilobodji as he looks to reduce the wage bill at the Black Cats, with the former Chelsea defender thought to be costing them around £33,000 a week, per reports by the Newcastle Chronicle.
It appears the move is all done to Sunderland now as they will need to agree to the terms of a possible deal with the Turkish outfit.
The 29-year-old is not thought to be in Ross’ plans this season and it is also understood the Senegal enforcer has no intention of remaining with the League One outfit either.
The Black Cats will be delighted to get him off their wage bill and should do everything they can to ensure he leaves the Stadium of Light this summer.
