Sunderland: Fans react to poll about Stewart Donald’s ownership

Many Sunderland fans have reacted to a recent poll via Twitter asking whether or not they support Stewart Donald’s running of the club.
Documented via the Netflix series ‘Sunderland ‘Til I Die’, Donald’s time in charge of the Wearside club has been clear for football fans to see, but recent reports linking to a sale of the club has seen further criticism.
After a second successive relegation to League One in 2018, Donald took over at the Stadium of Light from former owner Ellis Short.
Failure to help guide the Black Cats back to the Championship last season, losing in the play-off final to Charlton, put pressure on Donald to make it happen this term.
However, now managed by Phil Parkinson, Sunderland have failed to keep up the pace with automatic promotion placed sides Coventry City and Rotherham.
Sitting seventh in the league table as things stand, a play-off place does remain a possibility however.
Reacting to the question posed by @ALS_Fanzine, Black Cats supporters gave their opinion on Donald’s time in charge with the majority of fans not in support of his ownership.
Regarding the previous post claiming that the majority of Sunderland fans are behind Stewart Donald. What is your opinion on his running of the club?

Anyone who is in support of SD wants their head examining.
He’s running the club into the ground.
His decision making is as poor as Ellis Shorts and he’s already admitted he doesn’t have the finance to keep finding the club long term.

A car crash of an owner and Sunderland football club will suffer for years after he’s gone because of it.

The fact this is even close is a joke. He’s killing the club bit by bit, on and off the pitch

And going backwards

Sorry Cowie was worse than this, bloke.

Intentions are good, but he’s well over his head. Zero financial backing and too many jobs for the Eastleigh boys

People who support him dont have Sunderland at heart now. Its clear as day he is useless
