Jack Ross has revealed that Aiden McGeady and Marc McNulty could be available for Saturday’s match against Lincoln City, as reported on the official Sunderland Twitter account.
With the game acting as a chance for the Black Cats to consolidate their position in the play-off places, or even push higher depending on other results, Ross will be looking for any boost he can get ahead of the game.
McGeady has made eight starts and two substitute appearances across League One and the Carabao Cup this season, scoring four goals and getting two assists, as per WhoScored, though the Republic of Ireland international has missed the victories against Sheffield United and MK Dons.
If the 33-year-old is available, his attacking threat will be a definite boost, as he has averaged 1.1 key passes and 1.9 dribbles per game.
This can certainly act as a boost for Jack Ross and his side ahead of the Lincoln City match if they are both available.
There is not a team in the top six who have scored fewer goals than Sunderland, so having a creator and goalscorer either starting or coming off the bench can only be a good thing.
Will Jack Ross finish the season at Sunderland?
Sunderland fans, would you start either McGeady or McNulty if they are ready? Join the discussion by commenting below…
