Sunderland are rumoured to be one of the latest clubs to be interested in one of non-league’s brightest talents.
The midfielder has currently been starring for the Bostik League with his performances and has been attracting plenty of interest from a number of football league clubs.
The 18-year-old is thought to have clubs from the Premier League chasing him, with the likes of Crystal Palace, Brighton and Hove Albion and Watford, whilst Luton Town and Blackburn Rovers are also credited with an interest.
Sunderland could be a great team for the 18-year-old to make the jump from non-league football to the professional game.
Jack Ross has a great record with bringing youngsters through a club’s academy and Lovatt could benefit from joining him at the Black Cats.
Sunderland could offer him the chance to play regular football in League One, although the opportunity for him to join a Premier League side could be too much of a temptation for him to turn down at the earlier stages of his career.
