Our Sunderland fans here in the Transfer Tavern really don’t know what to make of their club and, according to The Telegraph, things could get odder with the signing of Nedum Onuoha.
The Black Cats have had yet another woeful campaign so far with them seemingly in a perpetual fight against relegation.
They’re once again looking like cannon-fodder and their local punters here by the bar are getting pretty cheesed off with it all.
Indeed, they’ve hardly been impressed with their signings during this window with Joleon Lescott’s move appearing quite desperate and now things could get even more far-fetched.
Onuoha was a Sunderland player a few years ago under Steve Bruce but has found himself in the Championship with QPR of late.
He’s been a regular, too, but the Loftus Road club have hardly set the world on fire this season and so a move to the north east to play in the Premier League doesn’t really add up.
Our landlord can’t quite believe it himself and reckons that it just about sums up the dire, disorganised situation that the Stadium of Light outfit finds itself in.
