It’s fair to say life at Sunderland is pretty bleak right now as the Black Cats appear to run out of lives in the Premier League and the Wearsiders propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern are looking increasingly weary.
David Moyes’ side look lost without a paddle in the relegation battle and their position in the top flight looks bleaker with every passing game. Barely able to fill their stadium out, it seems positively nobody wants to be a part of their plight.
According to AMK over in Turkey, on-loan forward Jermain Lens is doing all he can to seal his exit away from the Stadium of Light, reportedly telling the club he has little intention of returning at the end of the season.
Currently on loan with Fenerbahce, the Dutchman is understood to be eager to make his loan move in Istanbul a more permanent arrangement. Though it’s never nice to see a player so keen on an exit, it’s not as if the Sunderland supporting drinkers in the Tavern will miss him all that much.
