Our Sunderland fans here in the Transfer Tavern are certainly racking up quite the tab at the moment thanks to their current plight but, according to The Sun, another transfer could be on the way.
The Black Cats have had another shocker of a season with David Moyes not managing to get the club out of their current cycle of basement battles.
Another one is set to rumble on for them until the end of the season, too, and so new signings in the final days of the transfer market will be key.
Our landlord agrees and thinks that their rumoured interest in Charlie Adam could help them out of their predicament.
The Scottish international is still with Stoke at the moment but has interest in him from both Turkish club Fenerbahce and now the men from the north east.
We could be set for a transfer battle, then, and our landlord reckons Sunderland may hold the edge.
If the former Blackpool midfielder wants to stay in this country and Stoke do decide to sell up then he’s Sunderland’s for the taking – it does depend on what the Potters decide though.
Would you take Adam, Sunderland fans? Let us know below!
