Sunderland are back in League One action this evening as they take on Burton Albion and look to get themselves out of the current rut that they find themselves in.
The Black Cats have had a pretty tough time of it so far and though they are still close enough to get back into the play-offs, many rightly felt as though this was the year they needed to get into the top two.
That’s looking tough when you look at Wycombe’s form in particular at the moment but there are still plenty of games left to play this season and the Black Cats do at least have no distraction of cup games now to try and focus on the league.
One man that has at least impressed, meanwhile, is youngster Benji Kimpioka with him scoring the equaliser at the weekend against Coventry City.
He’s not guaranteed game time tonight, though, judging by Phil Parkinson’s comments:
PP: Benji (Kimpioka) is doing everything he can to get into the team more. He is training well and he has got to keep knocking on the door. When his chance comes he has to be ready to make another statement.#SAFC pic.twitter.com/3ufobaMaO2

This has got many talking, so let’s take a look at the best of what has been said:
I think he's more than ready already as proven on Saturday!

Why wouldn’t any manager start a goal scorer?

pace and energy… yep makes sense to leave him on the bench 🙄

Is he not starting because he hasn’t signed a new contract?

What an absolute clown!!!! Parkinson is talking as if he is stuck behind a striker that is banging in the goals left, right and centre!!!! How you can justify starting Grigg week-in, week-out is beyond me. It's past the point where I blame the player anymore, I blame the gaffer!
