Sunderland are back in action this evening as they take on Doncaster Rovers in Sky Bet League One, looking to get another big three points towards their promotion challenge.
After a spell in the doldrums at the beginning of Phil Parkinson’s tenure at the club, the Black Cats now look to be firing and they are one of the form sides in the division at the moment.
Indeed, if they can win this evening against Rovers they will find themselves closer still to the top of the division and fans will hope this is the season they get themselves back into the Championship.
Away from that, though, there’s also a week to go in the transfer window and supporters are likely to want to see more additions at the club before the deadline passes.
Indeed, up top there seems to be a need for more and that is what some fans have been debating – as well as other areas that need strengthening – so let’s take a look at that now:
With deadline day approaching, it feels like Sunderland may only strengthen their forward line if they can get rid of Grigg or McNulty. Would you be content with the four current strikers?

Surely we have to shift at least Mcgeady and Grigg as they are contributing absolutely nothing. Shift those 2 and bring in another attacker with a bit of pace.

I honestly think bringing in a striker could be the thing that decides if we go up or not #SAFC

Id send Mcnulty back and loan Grigg out and bring someone in.

Would rather have a speedy right winger or a creative centre midfielder

Think a lwb should be our priority. I think McNulty and Watmore can play in the Gooch/Maguire roll but if anything happens to Hume the whole system is knackered. Bit worrying that we've not even been linked with one!

Nobody will touch grigg, better off sending Mcnulty back and bringing in a fox in the box type striker. Easier said than done though.
