Sunderland will be looking to get themselves on a roll in the next few games with big matches on the horizon.
Tranmere Rovers are up next whilst Portsmouth and Ipswich Town are also on the horizon for the men from the Stadium of Light and so we are getting towards a crucial part of the season.
Certainly, fans will hope that they can make big strides in these matches towards the top two and supporters will also have hope that new players will still be signed between now and the end of the window.
With that in mind, then, the irony has not been lost on fans that Liam Boyce scored on his Hearts debut against Rangers to help them win the game at Tynecastle.
Let’s take a look at what supporters have had to say about the news as the club looks to try and finish this window in a strong manner in the final days of the market:
Ex-#SAFC target Liam Boyce netting the winner for Hearts against Rangers tonight.
Something very 'Sunderland' about that, isn't there?

I think we’re trying to get Grigg out the door first just in case. It’d be a nightmare if we did get Boyce and Grigg was in the reserves on loads of wages. Timing was just off.

No doubt he's sitting on the fact we've been on a half decent run and had a good upturn in results this past month so they'll be no need to invest, pretty much guarentee that's a factor like.
