The big games keep on coming for Sunderland in Sky Bet League One with the third tier once again proving the division to watch in the EFL in terms of close-fought battles.
The third tier has a mix of clubs all vying for position up near the top, with several locked on 59 points as they look to break into the top two.
Sunderland are one of those sides, then, but could have been higher up had they held on to their lead against Gillingham at the weekend.
The Gills, though, earned a draw late on and now the Black Cats must look to build on what went on and win against Bristol Rovers this evening – a side that is struggling for any kind of form whatsoever.
