Sunderland will be looking to try and get themselves three points against Blackpool this weekend as they aim to get out of this terrible rut of form that they are currently in.
It’s not been a good season so far for the men from Wearside and under Phil Parkinson results have, if anything, got worse than when they were under Jack Ross.
Clearly, there is work to be done but with so many fans turning on the manager after each loss, it has already become a tough gig for the former Bolton Wanderers chief.
Even so, he is in charge for the game at the weekend against the Tangerines and in one bit of positive news for the club Lynden Gooch seems set to return to the fold this weekend after injury:
