Sunderland have been performing extremely well in League One this season and will want to keep their momentum going when they face Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night.
The Black Cats currently occupy a playoff spot but will be continuing their charge for an automatic place in next season’s Championship competition.
Jack Ross has certainly brought the good times back to the Stadium of Light since arriving as manager in the summer, but he knows he still has a lot of work ahead of him.
The former St. Mirren manager has managed to get the best out of some of his players in recent months, with the likes of Lynden Gooch, Josh Maja and George Honeyman all starring for the Mackems.
All three have deals that expire at the end of the season and Ross is keen to keep them all at the Stadium of Light beyond their present terms.
The trio have all played major roles for Sunderland so far this season and will look to continue their fine performances as the season progresses.
The Black Cats are right to look at tying the three men down to extended deals, especially given the interest that could come about the longer they potentially leave it.
Maja, Gooch and Honeyman have all been in excellent form for Sunderland and have been influential members of Ross’ side this season and will certainly play a huge factor in their charge for promotion from League One.
