Sunderland manager Phil Parkinson will be hoping that his side can make it three games unbeaten when they face Peterborough United at the weekend.
The Black Cats laboured to an opening day draw with Bristol Rovers to begin their League One campaign but an impressive 2-0 win over Oxford United last weekend saw them move to fifth in the table and hopefully set the tone moving forward.
Coming up against potential promotion rivals Peterborough this weekend, Parkinson will be hoping for more of the same and his starting XI could well be unchanged from the team that won at Oxford.
One notable absentee is midfielder George Dobson, who serves the second game of his three-match suspension following his opening day red card. Grant Leadbitter proved to be an ideal replacement for Dobson last weekend and the experienced midfielder is expected to retain his place.
Lee Burge will occupy the goalkeeping position, playing behind Jordan Willis, Bailey Wright and Jon Flanagan. Max Power and Leadbitter will play in the holding midfield roles, whilst Denver Hume and Luke O’Nien are expected to continue as wing-backs.
Chris Maguire and Aiden O’Brien will likely play on the flanks and it is expected that Danny Graham will lead the line.
