Sunderland prepared to sell Bryan Oviedo

Sunderland are keen to trim their wage bill this summer as they prepare for life in League One, following back-to-back relegations.

The Black Cats will be looking forward to a positive campaign as the arrival of a new owner this summer, as well as a new manager will give the club some optimism ahead of the upcoming season.

Jack Ross has been extremely active in the transfer window having made a number of signings as well as having to offload a number of his expensive stars already at the club.

One report in Costa Rica is now suggesting that another one of their Premier League players could be about to depart, having starred for his country in the World Cup.

According to Bola Vip, Bryan Oviedo is gathering interest from Belgium outfit Club Brugge who are keen on the left-back. It is believed Sunderland are prepared to sell the player, despite having rejected a bid of £2.2million for him already.

The Verdict:

Sunderland are desperate to offload a number of their players this summer as they look to reduce their wage costs and Oviedo could be one to go.

It would be considered a good piece of business if they can get £3m for the Costa Rica international as the former Everton defender is believed to be keen on a move to the Belgium outfit as Champions League football is on offer.
