The Sunderland fans who are gathered at the bar in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports linking their club with a talented duo from a Premier League rival.
According to the Daily Star, Black Cats boss Sam Allardyce is ready to test the resolve of Swansea City by making an offer for both Andre Ayew and Bafetimbi Gomis this summer.
The experienced manager attempted to bring Ayew to the club during the January transfer window and looks set to make a move once more.
As for Gomis, he is a striker that fits Allardyce’s tactics perfectly being a big, strong goalscorer who is good with the ball at his feet or in the air.
‘Big Sam’ is keen for the side to perform better next season and not be facing a relegation battle come this time next year and believes that the duo could play an important role to get the side a safe mid table finish next season.
The Sunderland fans in The Tavern are delighted to be linked with the pair and think they are exactly the type of players the club should be looking to sign this summer.
Is Ayew really worth the hassle?
