Sunderland: Some supporters are keen to see Jack Ross return following latest slip up

This weekend was seemingly meant to take Sunderland supporters’ minds off their recent misfortunes in League One, yet the Black Cats couldn’t even manage that.

The Black Cats will be forced to play an FA Cup replay later this month after Phil Parkinson’s side were held to a 1-1 draw at home to fellow League One side Gillingham at home (per BBC Sport), making it now two wins from seven for the newly-appointed Sunderland manager (per BBC Sport).
Another slip up was not what Sunderland fans needed, and on social media, some supporters made their intentions clear with the club that they wanted to see former manager Jack Ross reinstated after Parkinson’s poor start to life with the former Premier League side.
Happy Jack Ross has gone?
Yes

No

Here’s what some Sunderland fans had to say about the 1-1 result with Gillingham on Twitter, with some supporters calling out for Ross to be brought back to the club after another poor performance from Parkinson’s squad…
Postponing the match in the break looks a good one now, now have to squeeze that in somewhere alongside the replay for this game, exactly what was our downfall last season. And also if Jack Ross didn’t look like he was playing promotion football what is the state of this now!

All those who criticised Ross need to take a look at themselves. Performances and results only going backwards under Parkinson. 2 wins from 7 abysmal!

Bring back Ross.
Everyone was so quick to get rid and look where we are. Worse off.
