Sunderland team news: Power eligible to return giving Ross positive dilemma

Sunderland will be looking to continue their charge towards the top of the League One ladder on Saturday when they travel to Coventry City.

The Black Cats will head to the Ricoh Arena following an impressive 4-1 victory against Rochdale and Jack Ross will want to see the same again from his side.

Josh Maja and Lynden Gooch both impressed in that win and will be looking to continue their fine starts to the season, however, it appears the manager could have a little selection dilemma ahead of the trip.

According to the club’s official website, the Stadium of Light outfit will be able to welcome back Max Power to the side.

The midfielder has missed the last three matches for Sunderland following the red card he picked up at the beginning of the month against Oxford United.

The Verdict:

Although it will cause Ross a bit of a selection headache, having Power available will only be viewed as a positive dilemma.

The Wigan Athletic loanee had been playing a key role for the side before his suspension, having netted twice in the five league appearances he has currently made.

However, the Black Cats opted for a 4-3-3 set-up in their rout against Rochdale and the Stadium of Light outfit could look to pick up from where they left off last weekend.
