Sunderland: These fans weren’t too concerned by big loss

There won’t be many Sunderland fans who will defend their side’s performance against Peterborough United on Saturday.
The Black Cats lost the game 3-0, with the day being made even worse by the dismissals of Luke O’Nien and Charlie Wyke, as shown in the EFL’s YouTube channel.
However, while there are some who are calling for Jack Ross to face the sack, there are others who encourage a calmer approach to the situation:

Despite this incredibly disappointing result and performance, Sunderland do remain sixth in the league – just one point behind second-place – with a Carabao Cup tie against Sheffield United to look forward to, having navigated their way past Burnley.
The defeat does, however, mean that the break has possibly come at the worst possible time for Sunderland, as they will have to wait until 14th September until they get the chance to redeem themselves against Accrington Stanley.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the result, including posts from understanding Sunderland fans, can be seen below:
Imagine saying Ross Out after 5 wins on the bounce including beating Burnley away. One bad game apparently ruins the progress we’ve seen shambles of a fan base sometimes

1 point behind second. Shocking result and shocking game all around but it could be worse

Hopefully we and Jack Ross can learn and to use this to motivate the lads and kick on!
