With Sunderland undergoing a major overhaul now they are back in the Championship, the Black Cats propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern have had an awful lot to talk about.
Indeed, the job Simon Grayson has on Wearside cannot be understated and the former Preston North End man needs to whip a squad who performed so badly in the Premier League into shape for the long and arduous Championship campaign.
In fact, one of the biggest players remaining on the books of the Black Cats is believed to have attracted interest from elsewhere. As revealed by Sky Sports’ Keith Downie, the club have snubbed a bid from Besiktas for Dutch international, Jeremain Lens.
We understand Sunderland have rejected a bid from Besiktas to sign winger Jeremain Lens permanently.

The winger spent last season on loan with Fenerbahce and even said he hoped his parent club would be relegated in order to make a move away easier, though fans online don’t seem to be too up for selling him.
Clearly a good player, many have taken to Twitter to state they want him to stay, or at least the club sign a replacement of similar ilk.
What a man Grayson is.

NGL I'd be happy to sell Lens for 10-12m and see Grayson reinvest that in some quality for the first 11 #Safc
