‘What do you mean?’ – Defoe dishes out amazing response to Spurs star

The England squad was announced today and one of the big talking points since Gareth Southgate’s selection dropped has been the inclusion of Jermain Defoe.

At the ripe old age of 34 and playing for the team rock-bottom of the Premier League, Sunderland, there’s plenty of ammo for the haters to aim shots at the much-travelled striker, but his return of 14 goals has clearly won over the Three Lions boss, even if some fans aren’t sure he should be there!

Athough there’s some criticism flying about, Defoe has been in top form on Twitter, responding to a tweet from his old team-mate Kyle Walker, who posted that he’s looking forward to seeing some “old faces” while tagging the forward and West Brom midfielder Jake Livermore.

Defoe’s response proves he’s not just sharp in the 18-yard box…

Walker fired back an equally witty response, which drew laughter from Defoe…
