Sunderland will be desperate to secure all three points against Accrington Stanley tomorrow as they continue to work towards securing automatic promotion to the Championship.
Jack Ross has worked wonders at Sunderland in the current campaign, which has helped their push for an automatic promotion place massively. Although, the club waved goodbye to one of its youngsters recently, as according to the Sunderland Echo, Williams Kokolo has joined Darlington on loan.
The 18-year-old, who can play at either left wing or left back, could make his debut for the Quakers tomorrow.
Interestingly, Williams played for Monaco’s youth team until he was 16 before signing a scholarship contract with Sunderland at the start of the 2017-18 season.
However, he is yet to make his first team debut at the Stadium of Light, so a loan move away seems like the right decision at this point in his football career.
The defender has impressed in the youth ranks at Sunderland in recent times, and was even named on the substitutes’ bench for the Checkatrade Trophy game at Morecambe last month.
Williams has a bright future ahead of him and he will no doubt break into the first team under Jack Ross if he enjoys a successful loan spell at Darlington, having witnessed Bali Mumba’s rise.
