# Leeds: Adam Pope shares Max Dean interest

**League Two side Harrogate Town are thought to be interested in [Leeds United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/) forward Max Dean, according to [Adam Pope](https://twitter.com/apopey/status/1541511655716175874?s=21&t=ECYHzwFCqW3b_u4PTxMZ-g).**

### The Lowdown: Dean at Leeds

Dean, capable of playing [anywhere](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/max-dean/profil/spieler/805889) across the front three, signed a first [professional deal](https://www.leedsunited.com/news/academy/27907/max-dean-signs-professional-with-leeds-united) at Elland Road last year. The 18-year-old has made a total of [44](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/max-dean/leistungsdaten/spieler/805889) appearances for the club’s academy sides – [31](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/max-dean/leistungsdaten/spieler/805889) of which have come for the U23s.

The attacker has contributed to a total of [17](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/max-dean/leistungsdaten/spieler/805889) goals and has mainly played as a centre-forward, and it looks as if he could be given the chance to play senior football in 2022/23.

### The Latest: Pope’s post

Reliable reporter [Pope](https://twitter.com/apopey/status/1541511655716175874?s=21&t=ECYHzwFCqW3b_u4PTxMZ-g) took to Twitter on Monday evening to provide some more exit rumours.

He claimed that Harrogate are ‘understood to be interested in a loan deal’ for Dean, although nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

### The Verdict: Makes sense?

Dean is entering the final [12 months](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/max-dean/profil/spieler/805889) of his Elland Road contract, so a new deal and a loan move away could be a wise move for everyone involved.

\[freshpress-poll id=”400311″\]

He has become a [regular](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/max-dean/leistungsdaten/spieler/805889) for the U23s despite only turning 18 in February, so gaining senior experience in League Two could be just what he needs for his development.

A move away would potentially go under the radar as well, especially with star men [Raphinha](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1541846496022335488) and [Kalvin Phillips](https://theathletic.com/news/leeds-kalvin-phillips-man-city-transfer-news/zqE5mZ7zWwmz/) seemingly close to big-money switches to Chelsea and Manchester City respectively.
