# Leeds: Beren Cross delighted by Stuart Dallas news

**Leeds United journalist [Beren Cross](https://twitter.com/BerenCross/status/1557766087282163713) has offered his reaction to the news that Stuart Dallas is running again at Thorp Arch.**

### The lowdown

Dallas has been out of action [since 30 April](https://www.reuters.com/lifestyle/sports/leeds-confirm-dallas-suffered-broken-leg-man-city-clash-2022-05-01/#:~:text=%22Stuart%20Dallas%20faces%20a%20lengthy,%2C%22%20Leeds%20said%20on%20Sunday.&text=%22Stuart%20was%20kept%20overnight%20at,for%20surgery%20and%20further%20tests.%22), when he [fractured his femur](https://twitter.com/BerenCross/status/1557766087282163713) in a 4-0 defeat against Manchester City at Elland Road.

Manager Jesse Marsch said at the time that Dallas would make a full recovery but would face at least six months on the sidelines (via [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/news/leeds-dallas-expected-to-make-full-recovery-from-fractured-femur-after-successful-surgery/9swjq1D8M9pj/)).

But now Dallas has been [pictured on the running track](https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/stuart-dallas-leeds-united-training-24734827) at Leeds’ training ground with fitness coach Ruben Crespo.

Marsch [said in his press conference](https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/stuart-dallas-leeds-united-training-24734827) ahead of the game against Southampton that it’s ‘exciting’ to see him ‘moving around on the pitch’ again.

Marsch has been keen to manage expectations, refusing to suggest that Dallas might be back of schedule.

“It’s much too early to start talking about the prognosis and a timetable for Stuart, but any of you who know Stuart know his energy and his positivity and his personality is so amazing,” he [said](https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/stuart-dallas-leeds-united-training-24734827).

One thing that is clear is that it will be a big boost for the boss when his versatile Northern Irishman is eventually back in contention.
