# Leeds: Beren Cross shares Stuart Dallas update

**Leeds United correspondent [Beren Cross](https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/leeds-united-san-francisco-49ers-23110039) has revealed that Stuart Dallas managed to leave Goodison Park unaided following the 3-0 defeat to Everton on Saturday.**

### The Lowdown: Dallas injury

Dallas has been an ever-present figure under Marcelo Bielsa and starred in the club’s first season back in the Premier League, winning [multiple](https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-united/stuart-dallas-dominates-leeds-uniteds-end-of-season-awards-as-club-honour-promotion-heroes-3247358) end of season awards.

Starting [106](https://twitter.com/PhilHay_/status/1492803588879380480) of the last [107](https://twitter.com/PhilHay_/status/1492803588879380480) games, Dallas once again featured from the off at the weekend but was forced off through injury after just nine minutes.

The Northern Irishman was replaced by [Leo Hjelde](https://www.sofascore.com/everton-leeds-united/JsY) in a left-wing back role in what was the beginning of an afternoon to forget on Merseyside.

### The Latest: Cross’ comments

Relaying his [LeedsLive Q&A](https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/leeds-united-san-francisco-49ers-23110039) on Tuesday morning, Cross was asked by one fan for an update on Dallas’ injury.

He revealed that the 30-year-old managed to leave the stadium unassisted – a positive update ahead of learning more on his condition later in the week.

> “We don’t know the specifics yet, no. Bielsa said it was too soon after the match on Saturday to provide any details, but we do know it has to have a degree of severity to have forced someone like Dallas off, but it was not so serious he could not walk away from Goodison Park without assistance after full-time.”

### The Verdict: Fingers crossed

Dallas has become a key player for Leeds under Bielsa, with his versatility proving crucial for the Argentine over the years.

He has already turned out in [six](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/stuart-dallas/leistungsdaten/spieler/158764) different positions this season, with the majority of his appearances coming at full-back. Leeds have had their injury issues in that area with [Junior Firpo](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/junior-firpo/leistungsdaten/spieler/374139), [Luke Ayling](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/luke-ayling/leistungsdaten/spieler/67420) and [Jamie Shackleton](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jamie-shackleton/leistungsdaten/spieler/534700) all missing large portions of the campaign.

So, on that basis, Whites fans will be keeping everything crossed that the update on Dallas will be a positive one. No official news so far could be a positive sign, with Leeds having three big games in a week starting with Manchester United on Sunday.
