# Leeds plotting to sign Che Adams

**[Leeds United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/) are ready to sign Southampton forward [Che Adams](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tag/che-adams/) this summer, should the Saints suffer relegation, [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-leeds-united-have-big-interest-in-southampton-star-che-adams/) report.**

### The Lowdown: 49ers takeover

It looks likely that the 49ers Enterprises will be in control at Elland Road from the summer, with Phil Hay recently saying there’s a ‘[very strong chance](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/leeds-phil-hay-49ers-takeover-update/)’ that the 49ers will be in charge from July, regardless of what division Leeds find themselves in.

There is an agreement in place with Andrea Radrizzani over a deal, with [Reports](https://www.footballinsider247.com/leeds-united-10-year-plan-revealed-as-takeover-all-but-done-sources/) suggesting that the 49ers ‘expect to be in control in Yorkshire for 10-15 years once they seal a full takeover.

And the board already appear to be looking at potential signings for the summer, with Adams still thought to be of interest.

### The Latest: Transfer update

[FI reporter Pete O’Rourke](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-leeds-united-have-big-interest-in-southampton-star-che-adams/) shared an update regarding Leeds and Adams on Monday afternoon.

He said that the Whites are plotting a summer move for the Scotland international and are ready to sign him “in a heartbeat” if the Saints are relegated to the Championship. Those at Elland Road are still “big admirers” of Adams after failing to sign him in recent transfer windows.

### The Verdict: One to watch…

Adams, who Ralph Hasenhuttl has hailed for having a ‘[fantastic](https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/18264043.southampton-manager-ralph-hasenhuttl-praises-che-adams/)‘ attitude, appears to be at the top of his game with a career-high €22m [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/che-adams/profil/spieler/346779) valuation.

The 26-year-old has contributed to [seven](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/che-adams/profil/spieler/346779) [Premier League](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league-news/) goals this season, with the Whites struggling in the final third since domestic action resumed after the World Cup.

Leeds have netted just [seven](https://www.skysports.com/leeds-united-results) times in [11](https://www.skysports.com/leeds-united-results) top-flight games, so bringing in someone like Adams could be a smart move. He’s actually scored [three](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/che-adams/bilanz/spieler/346779) goals in eight games against Leeds and could be just what is required in Yorkshire, making this one to watch.
