# Leeds: Dean Jones makes Patrick Bamford claim

**Journalist Dean Jones has been reacting to Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford’s latest injury, [GiveMeSport](https://www.givemesport.com/87987141-leeds-devastating-setback-for-desperate-18m-star-at-elland-road) report.**

### The Lowdown: Wolves injury

Bamford has missed the majority of the season due to a number of injury problems but made a timely return under new manager Jesse Marsch.

The 28-year-old has been included in all [four](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-bamford/leistungsdaten/spieler/183334) of Marsch’s matchday squads, starting in back-to-back wins over Norwich City and Wolves.

However, Bamford had to be withdrawn early on at Molineux with what looked to be a reoccurrence of a foot injury. Marsch [confirmed](https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-united/jesse-marsch-issues-early-injury-update-on-leeds-united-quartet-after-bruising-win-at-wolves-3618455) after the game that he believes the forward’s latest issue isn’t serious.

### The Latest: Jones reacts

Jones, talking to [GiveMeSport](https://www.givemesport.com/87987141-leeds-devastating-setback-for-desperate-18m-star-at-elland-road), had this to say on Bamford and yet another injury problem for the Whites.

> “Bamford, you’re devastated for him because he was so desperate to make his mark on his team and ensure that they stay in the Premier League.”

### The Verdict: Never ending

Leeds just can’t catch a break this season when it comes to keeping the majority of their squad fully fit.

The Whites were close to a fully fit squad against Brentford way back in December, however, Bamford, Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips all suffered hamstring issues in the 2-2 draw at Elland Road.

[Cooper](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/liam-cooper/leistungsdaten/spieler/75067) and [Phillips](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kalvin-phillips/leistungsdaten/spieler/351749) made a long-awaited return to the bench against Wolves, with Leeds once again looking close to full strength. [Five](https://theathletic.com/3199491/2022/03/22/whatever-division-leeds-are-in-a-thorough-rebuild-is-needed-this-summer/) fresh injuries were sustained at Molineux, and you start to wonder if the Whites will ever have a fully fit squad to choose from again.
