# Leeds United: Fans delighted with reports of Marcelo Bielsa’s training regimes

**Many Leeds United fans have heaped praise on Marcelo Bielsa for his efforts to prepare his side for the return of the Championship season.**

Football in England has been postponed since early March due to the coronavirus pandemic but a recent announcement that England’s second tier will [return on the weekend of June 20](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11688/11998319/championship-set-to-restart-on-weekend-of-june-20) has come as great news to many.

There has been much debate over how the season should be completed, with various clubs calling for a points-per-game system to be used whilst others have preferred to end the 2019/20 campaign on the pitch.

With just over two weeks to prepare for the return of league action, some clubs in the Championship have criticised the announcement, including [Queens Park Rangers](https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-health-coronavirus-soccer-england/queens-park-rangers-chief-appalled-by-championship-restart-plans-idUKKBN23824Q), who remain unhappy with the decision to return later this month.

Leeds, who are [on course for promotion](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/tabelle/wettbewerb/GB2/saison_id/2019) to the Premier League, have been preparing well at their Thorp Arch training ground and a latest tweet which has shared words from a post on [The Athletic](https://theathletic.co.uk/1848046/2020/06/03/marcelo-bielsa-leeds-points-per-game-dismiss/), revealing that every player has beaten the running stats they had managed pre-lockdown, has now seen these fans heap praise on Bielsa for his efforts over the last two weeks:
