# Leeds: Hwang Hee-chan can now leave Wolves at ‘right price’

**[Leeds United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/) can now sign Wolves forward Hwang Hee-chan, but only at the ‘right price’, according to [Alan Nixon](https://twitter.com/reluctantnicko/status/1564243951250464770?s=21&t=gtWZmOCf5Qm2MHxesn5ctw).**

### The Lowdown: Kalajdzic agreement

The Whites could well look to sign a new forward before Thursday’s deadline and they have Hwang on their [radar](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/leeds-premier-league-hwang-hee-chan-transfer-news-updates/).

However, Wolves have been on the hunt for a new striker themselves and have therefore been reluctant to let the South Korean leave as a result.

It looks as if Bruno Lage’s side will get their wish, though, after an [agreement](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62715136) was reached with Stuttgart to bring Sasa Kalajdzic to the Midlands in a deal worth an initial £15.4m.

### The Latest: Nixon’s update

On Monday, reliable reporter Nixon was asked by a Leeds supporter [on Twitter](https://twitter.com/dplr98/status/1564243839434498049) what it means vis-à-vis Hwang moving to Elland Road following Wolves’ agreement for Kalajdzic.

The journalist [replied](https://twitter.com/reluctantnicko/status/1564243951250464770?s=21&t=gtWZmOCf5Qm2MHxesn5ctw), saying that the forward can now leave Molineux at the ‘right price’.

### The Verdict: Time to act

The final few days of the transfer window could be crucial with regards to how Leeds’ season plays out.

Bringing in a new forward may well prove to be the difference between a comfortable mid-table finish or a potential relegation battle, with Patrick Bamford’s [injury struggles](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-bamford/leistungsdaten/spieler/183334) continuing this season.

Phil Hay has [stated](https://theathletic.com/3542536/2022/08/29/leeds-united-transfer-window/) that Jesse Marsch would work with Hwang again after the South Korean starred under the American at both Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig, contributing to [40](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/hee-chan-hwang/leistungsdatentrainer/spieler/292246/plus/0/trainer_id/17275) goals in [43](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/hee-chan-hwang/leistungsdatentrainer/spieler/292246/plus/0/trainer_id/17275) games, so hopefully Leeds view Wolves’ ‘right price’ tag as acceptable.
