# Leeds: Jesse Marsch wants Arnaud Kalimuendo signed next week

**[Leeds United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/) manager Jesse Marsch wants Paris Saint-Germain forward Arnaud Kalimuendo signed next week, according to [The Sun](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/19431011/leeds-arnaud-kalimuendo-transfer-psg-bamford/).**

### The Lowdown: Kalimuendo linked with Leeds

The Whites were first [linked](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/leeds-whites-make-offer-for-psg-youngster-arnaud-kalimuendo-transfer-marsch-raphinha/) with a move for the youngster in June, although Charles De Ketelaere was the club’s [primary target](https://www.thesun.ie/sport/football/9068148/leeds-transfer-news-charles-de-ketelaere/) at the time.

As we now know, De Ketelaere [decided to join](https://www.acmilan.com/en/news/articles/media/2022-08-02/official-statement-charles-de-ketelaere) AC Milan instead of Leeds, and it looks as if Kalimuendo is now the [Premier League](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league-news/) club’s top attacking target.

[Reports](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/leeds-arnaud-kalimuendo-transfer-bid-psg/) last week claimed that Leeds made an offer in the region of £16.7m for the 20-year-old, and it seems as if Marsch is keen for a move to go through before the trip to Southampton next Saturday.

### The Latest: Kalimuendo transfer update

[The Sun](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/19431011/leeds-arnaud-kalimuendo-transfer-psg-bamford/) shared a story on Friday afternoon regarding Kalimuendo, who ranks in the [99th percentile](https://fbref.com/en/players/bf4c41f9/Arnaud-Kalimuendo) for forwards across Europe’s top five leagues when it comes to passing success rate (82.6%), showing excellent composure in the final third for such a young player.

They reported that Marsch hopes a deal for the Frenchman can be finalised next week to provide competition to Patrick Bamford and Joe Gelhardt up top.

### The Verdict: Busy week in store

Leeds look set to finalise a move for free agent [Joel Robles](https://theathletic.com/3482804/2022/08/06/leeds-united-joel-robles/) over the coming days, so it could be a very busy week at Elland Road.

Things got off to the perfect start on the pitch on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Wolves, and bringing in Robles and Kalimuendo would only add to the feel-good factor around the club.

Should both moves go through, Victor Orta may then be on the search for a new left-back to finalise the club’s business in what many would feel has been a successful summer in the market.
