# Leeds: Junior Firpo tipped to shine under Marcelo Bielsa

**Former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell believes Junior Firpo could be a superb signing for Leeds United this summer.**

### The Lowdown: Firpo on the verge of Leeds signing

### The Latest: Pundit tips left-back to shine

Speaking to [*Football Insider*](https://www.footballinsider247.com/la-liga-expert-shares-glowing-firpo-verdict-as-leeds-united-medical-booked/), Campbell, a regular on [Sky Sports](https://icdb.tv/), is hugely excited about the prospect of the 24-year-old joining Leeds, saying he could be an ideal addition:

> “He is a very promising young player. I think he will be a great signing for Leeds.
>
> “He is young and needs a run of games to realise his potential. Bielsa will give him an opportunity and I think he will take it with both hands.
>
> “If it is to be around £15million, whether that is straight away or on a loan to buy, I think that is good value. I really think he will do well in the Premier League.”

### The Verdict: Exciting addition for Whites

Firpo looks an excellent prospect, already enjoying great experience at Barca, learning from one of the best left-backs of his generation in Alba, not to mention playing alongside superstars Lionel Messi every day in training.

His [attacking nature](https://laligaanalysis.com/analysis/player-analysis/junior-firpo-real-betis-tactical-analysis-analysis-statistics) should be perfect in Leeds’ style of play, bringing an extra dimension to their game and arguably adding a more natural balance to the team than Alioski, due to being an out-and-out left-back.

If Bielsa can work his magic with Firpo, he could mature into a formidable full-back for a number of years, having [scored seven goals and registered nine assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/junior-firpo/alletore/spieler/374139) in 62 total La Liga showings.
