# Leeds: Mateusz Klich has offer ‘on the table’ from MLS

**[Leeds United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/) midfielder Mateusz Klich has an official offer ‘on the table’ to move to the MLS, as [Phil Hay](https://twitter.com/PhilHay_) shares the latest update.**

### The Lowdown: Out of favour

The [Premier League](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league-news/) side [signed](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11715/10924733/leeds-sign-mateusz-klich-from-fc-twente-in-three-year-deal) the 32-year-old back in 2017 and it’s fair to say he’s had a hugely successful spell, making [192](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mateusz-klich/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/92738) appearances during his five years at Elland Road and becoming somewhat of a cult hero.

The Poland international, however, has now entered the final [18 months](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/leeds-united/vertragsende/verein/399/vertragsendeJahr/2024) of his contract, and after recently falling out of favour under Jesse Marsch, could be set to depart either in the winter market or next summer.

### The Latest: Klich’s MLS offer

Taking to [Twitter](https://twitter.com/philhay_/status/1602936582121656320?s=46&t=LVzsMXVPsu6ta7-wHSjgcw), Hay confirmed that there is a genuine offer in place and a decision will soon have to be made regarding his future at Leeds.

“Mateusz Klich sat tight in the summer but he’s seen fewer minutes for Leeds than Dan James this season and a bit-part role didn’t get him to the World Cup.

“An offer from MLS is on the table and understandably he wants to play more. So is it time to go?”

Leeds have undoubtedly had a fantastic servant in Klich over the years, but as the team is constantly evolving, now would be the right time to let him go.
