# Leeds: Noa Lang update emerges

**[Leeds United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/) and West Ham are reportedly leading AC Milan in the race to sign Noa Lang from Club Brugge.**

### The Lowdown: Long-term target

Lang has been a name on the radar at Elland Road for some time now. Leeds were first credited with an interest in the 22-year-old last [summer](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-transfer-rumours/leeds-whites-keen-on-noa-lang/), with rumours continuing during the [January window](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-transfer-rumours/noa-lang-leeds-transfer-latest/).

Links have continued heading into the summer window, with [reports](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/leeds-source-transfer-news-noa-lang-talks/) earlier this month suggesting that the Whites have held preliminary talks with the player’s camp and have laid the groundwork for a ‘big-money’ move.

As we know, Leeds have already splashed the cash on Brenden Aaronson, and it looks as if they want Lang to be next to arrive in Yorkshire.

### The Latest: Transfer update

Italian outlet [Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.it/2022/05/28/milan-insidie-noa-lang-incontro-botman/) shared a story on Saturday regarding Lang, where Leeds were once again mentioned. They claimed that AC Milan are looking to win the race for the 22-year-old but are currently behind Leeds and West Ham.

The Hammers are willing to offer Lang €3m-a-year at the London Stadium, with a deal expected to cost any club €25m (£21.2m).

### The Verdict: Likely?

Lang, who has been hailed as [‘amazing’ by talent scouts](https://twitter.com/FTalentScout/status/1359854974138728453), has enjoyed two solid seasons in Belgium, with the left-winger contributing to [52](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/noa-lang/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/339332) goals in [85](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/noa-lang/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/339332) games. He can also turn out in a [central](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/noa-lang/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/339332) role, which could appeal to Jesse Marsch, who may look to implement a narrower formation next season.

An exit appears to be on the cards, so it seems as if Leeds could have a real chance of finally signing their long-term target. [Phil Hay](https://www.footballfancast.com/leeds-united-transfer-rumours/leeds-united-transfer-news-phil-hay-victor-orta-noa-lang-jesse-marsch-raphinha-lufc-the-whites-elland-road-premier-league) stated that he could see a move materialising for Lang to arrive as a replacement for Raphinha, who has been heavily [linked](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1617401/Raphinha-father-Leeds-future-Barcelona-transfer-crisis-transfer-news-Ousmane-Dembele) with Barcelona, so another £20m+ move could be one to watch extremely closely over the coming weeks.
