# Leeds: Phil Hay shares Kalvin Phillips development

**[Leeds United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/) and Manchester City have agreed a fee for Kalvin Phillips, [Phil Hay](https://twitter.com/PhilHay_/status/1540372824631681024) reports.**

### The Lowdown: City rumours

Phillips has been heavily [linked](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10847059/Manchester-City-identify-Leeds-star-Kalvin-Phillips-candidate-replace-Fernandinho.html) with a move to the Etihad over the past five weeks, with the Premier League champions identifying the 26-year-old as an ideal replacement for Fernandinho.

[The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/3362329/2022/06/15/kalvin-phillips-and-the-expectation-of-a-bid-from-manchester-city/) previously claimed that City were visualising a final agreement between £45m and £50m for the Leeds man, and it looks as if that figure was extremely accurate.

### The Latest: Hay’s post

[Hay](https://twitter.com/PhilHay_/status/1540372824631681024), who was one of the first to share [Ryan Edmondson’s move to Carlisle United](https://twitter.com/PhilHay_/status/1539588771313864704) in recent days, took to Twitter on Friday evening to provide more exit news, this time on Phillips.

He stated that Leeds and City ‘have agreed a fee’ for Phillips and that a deal was ‘set to go ahead with clubs on the same page’. [Fabrizio Romano](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1540381722726088706) has stated that a transfer will be worth an initial £42m which could rise to £50m with add-ons.

The leagues start earlier this season because of the [World Cup in Qatar](https://www.fifa.com/fifaplus/en/tournaments/mens/worldcup/qatar2022). That only confirms that this summer is going to be way more interesting compared to the previous one. But, as a bettor, you need to prepare yourself properly! Finding the most appropriate betting sites is one of the options that you have.

Generally speaking, there are a couple of features you should put into consideration when looking for the best betting platform. Let’s find out more about them!

### The Verdict: Time to act

It looks as if it is just a matter of time until Phillips, labelled as [‘special’](https://theathletic.com/2774457/2021/08/20/why-is-the-kalvin-phillips-role-so-rare-and-so-difficult/) by former Leeds man Andrew Hughes, is officially a City player, so Leeds should now be hard at work looking to bring in a replacement.

Two players who have been linked with filling the gap left set to be left by Phillips are RB Leipzig’s [Tyler Adams](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/leeds-sky-sports-transfer-news-tyler-adams/) and RB Salzburg’s [Mo Camara](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/leeds-contact-made-mo-camara-transfer-news/), both of which have worked under Jesse Marsch.

Camara has been [teasing](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/leeds-contact-made-mo-camara-transfer-news/) a move to Elland Road by replying to Whites supporters on social media, so it wouldn’t come as a shock if Leeds were to make a formal bid for the Mali international or Adams over the coming days following the news with Phillips.
