# Leeds: New winger wanted alongside Charles De Ketelaere

**[Leeds United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/) correspondent [Phil Hay](https://twitter.com/PhilHay_/status/1540696641732284418) has claimed that the club will target a winger alongside a move for Club Brugge attacker Charles De Ketelaere.**

### The Lowdown: Serious about De Ketelaere

[Hay](https://twitter.com/PhilHay_/status/1540696641732284418) took to Twitter on Saturday afternoon, revealing that the Whites are ‘serious’ on signing De Ketelaere ‘with Arsenal stepping up interest in Raphinha’.

The 21-year-old Belgian appears to be a man in demand, with AC Milan keen on him and able to offer Champions League football.

De Ketelaere contributed to [28](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/charles-de-ketelaere/leistungsdaten/spieler/435772) goals in all competitions last season, mainly playing as a centre-forward, with Leeds viewing him as a [secondary striker or false nine](https://theathletic.com/news/leeds-ac-milan-charles-de-ketelaere/sJL6Z9Lcx5Oe/).

### The Latest: Winger wanted by Leeds

In Hay’s story for [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/news/leeds-ac-milan-charles-de-ketelaere/sJL6Z9Lcx5Oe/) regarding Leeds, he also made a claim on another signing.

He stated that ‘Leeds are also thought to be targeting the arrival of a winger before the coming season’ alongside a move for De Ketelaere.

### The Verdict: Busy few weeks

Victor Orta was straight to work after the club dramatically secured their [Premier League](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league-news/) status on the final day, with moves for Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen and Marc Roca [already tied up](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/leeds-united/transfers/verein/399/saison_id/2022).

However, with De Ketelaere seemingly the club’s main attacking target, [Kalvin Phillips](https://theathletic.com/news/leeds-kalvin-phillips-man-city-transfer-news/zqE5mZ7zWwmz/) set to join Manchester City and Raphinha wanted at Arsenal, Orta may need to go into overdrive when it comes to further additions over the coming weeks.

De Ketelaere, along with a new winger and a marquee holding midfielder, would be exciting deals, and it seems as if that’s what Leeds want to do ahead of Jesse Marsch’s first full season in charge at Elland Road.
