[Reports](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/leeds-ready-sell-robin-koch-transfer-news/) last month stated that Jesse Marsch was planning a defensive overhaul this summer and that Koch’s future was in doubt.

The Whites were thought to be willing to accept an offer in the region of £10m to £11m for the German, however, Koch has now spoken out regarding his Elland Road future.

### The Latest: Koch speaks out

[Sports Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/leeds-star-suggests-hes-not-going-anywhere-super-comfortable-whites-city/) relayed comments from Koch’s interview with [Sport Bild](https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/fussball-international/premier-league-klassenerhalt-leeds-held-robin-koch-haben-nie-den-glauben-verlore-80182512.bild.html) on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old admitted he is ‘super comfortable’ in Leeds, adding that the journey is ‘not over’.

> “I feel super comfortable in the city and at the club and have a contract here. When I joined Leeds we had a project in mind, a journey that is not over for us as a team.”

### The Verdict: Keep

Described as [‘magnificent’](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league/noel-whelan-praises-robin-koch-performance-villa/) by Noel Whelan last season, Koch has certainly shown his versatility under Marsch, emphasising the club’s ‘side before self’ mantra.

He’s played in his main position just [twice](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/robin-koch/leistungsdaten/spieler/328784) under the American, turning out as a [holding midfielder and right-back](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/robin-koch/leistungsdaten/spieler/328784) on more occasions.

Some have even [hinted](https://twitter.com/leeds_utd_news/status/1528803196646436870) that he could be the ‘long-term solution’ at right-back following his displays in recent weeks, so hopefully, the Whites will have second thoughts regarding the defender and keep him at the club for Marsch’s first full season.
