# Leeds: Graham Smyth drops Jack Harrison transfer claim

**[Leeds United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/) have yet to receive a formal offer for Jack Harrison, according to the [Yorkshire Evening Post](https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-united/leeds-united-q-and-a-mohamed-camara-and-charles-de-ketelaere-transfers-ownership-and-contracts-3754123?page=3#liveblog)‘s chief football writer Graham Smyth.**

### The lowdown

In separate reports, The Telegraph have claimed that both [Tottenham Hotspur](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2022/04/01/month-jesse-marsch-leeds-united-have-transformed-post-marcelo/?utm_content=football&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1648795289) and [Newcastle United](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2022/05/24/newcastle-keen-sign-jack-harrison-despite-leeds-premier-league/) are interested in signing the 26-year-old.

So far this summer, Leeds have lost Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City in a [£45m move](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62036061) and [received offers for the £55m-rated Raphinha](https://theathletic.com/news/raphinha-chelsea-arsenal-transfer-leeds/uebWdbbuZc1q/).

Smyth has said that Leeds have held exploratory dialogue with interested parties for the ex-Man City winger, although no bids have materialised thus far. The reporter added that transfer isn’t off the table, but the Whites certainly aren’t planning to offload him.

It’s worth considering what may represent a good price for Harrison. First and foremost, he’s a good age and his value is protected by his contract status.
