# Leeds: Whites firm up George Hall interest

**[Leeds United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/) have firmed up their interest in Birmingham City midfielder George Hall, according to [The Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10870873/Transfer-news-Leeds-United-lead-hunt-talented-Birmingham-City-youngster-George-Hall.html).**

### The Lowdown: Hall links

Hall, described as a [‘really exciting’](https://www.bcfc.com/content/george-hall-signs-blues-pro-deal) player who can [‘influence games’](https://www.bcfc.com/content/george-hall-signs-blues-pro-deal), was heavily [linked](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/leeds-whites-leading-george-hall-race/) with a move to Elland Road back in April.

The 17-year-old can play in midfield, on the wing or even as a centre-forward, and made [two](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/george-hall/leistungsdaten/spieler/871229) Championship appearances for the Blues last season.

The England Under-18 international was also attracting interest from [Newcastle](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/leeds-whites-leading-george-hall-race/), but it looks as if Leeds chiefs are ready to land the highly-rated youngster following a move for RB Salzburg right-back [Rasmus Kristensen](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/leeds-phil-hay-transfer-update-rasmus-kristensen/).

The Whites are now [confident](https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-united/ps10m-defender-with-jesse-marsch-history-on-leeds-united-transfer-radar-as-summer-activity-ramps-up-3715123) of landing the Salzburg defender, so it’s no surprise to see them already plotting their next move…

### The Latest: Leeds update

[The Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10870873/Transfer-news-Leeds-United-lead-hunt-talented-Birmingham-City-youngster-George-Hall.html) provided an update regarding Hall and Leeds on Tuesday afternoon.

They claimed that Leeds have firmed up their interest in Hall and are willing to make a seven-figure offer in order to bring the versatile player to Elland Road.

### The Verdict: Next U23 addition?

Leeds have regularly looked to add to their Under-23 ranks since promotion to the Premier League and have reaped the rewards with Illan Meslier and Joe Gelhardt two prime examples of players establishing themselves as first-team regulars.

It appears as if Hall could be the next talent to move to Thorp Arch and aim to break through into Jesse Marsch’s first-team plans, with [Brighton](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10870873/Transfer-news-Leeds-United-lead-hunt-talented-Birmingham-City-youngster-George-Hall.html) another side name-checked with an interest in the Birmingham teenager.

Hall is clearly a youngster in demand, but it looks as if Andrea Radrizzani and the 49ers Enterprises are willing to write a seven-figure cheque relatively soon, so this could be one to keep a close eye on.
