# Leeds United: Andrea Radrizzani looking to sell a stake in the club

**There has been a huge update around Leeds United as the owner, Andrea Radrizzani, is looking to sell a large stake at the club.**

### The latest on Leeds

According to the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9061245/Leeds-owner-verge-selling-15-stake-San-Francisco-49ers.html), Radrizzani is ‘on the verge’ of selling another 15% stake to the San Francisco 49ers as the NFL franchise look to increase their shareholding. They already have a 10% stake at the club and so this latest update would mean they now have a 25% stake.

If these negotiations are completed, it would mean the Premier League side is valued at around £240m.

### Is this good news for the club?

President of the 49ers, Paraag Marathe, has joined the Leeds board and has spoken about the club’s potential. He [said](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9061245/Leeds-owner-verge-selling-15-stake-San-Francisco-49ers.html): ‘The sky is the limit for Leeds. This is not a club where we made it to the Premier League and we are barely trying to hang on by the laces of our shoes. No. This is a club which can become a big contender.’

For him to speak this highly of the club highlights that the intentions of the 49ers owners are in the right place. It is also a huge boost for Leeds as it means their value goes up.

If it was new owners coming in trying to get a new stake in the club there might be cause for concern, however the club have been doing well with the NFL franchise having a 10% stake, so those associated with the club should be excited by this news.
