# Leeds United: Club offered Andy Delort

**The transfer window is open and Leeds United could reportedly be bolstering their attacking lineup as they have been offered Ligue 1 forward Andy Delort.**

### The latest on Andy Delort

According to [Football Insider,](https://www.footballinsider247.com/leeds-united-offered-striker-faster-than-mbappe/) Leeds United have been offered Montpellier striker Delort. The Ligue 1 side are desperate to cash in on the forward this month as the financial crisis in French football continues to hit teams where it hurts.

### Should Leeds look to sign the striker?

The Algerian, who is valued at £13.50m on [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andy-delort/profil/spieler/122797), has had a solid season this campaign. He has featured 18 times in Ligue 1 in 2020/21, scoring nine goals and picking up six assists ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/79976/Show/Andy-Delort)). He has been a huge attacking threat, managing three shots per game, by far the [most on his team](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/311/Show/France-Montpellier), as well as 1.7 key passes.

Meanwhile, Patrick Bamford has been on great form since Leeds were promoted to the Premier League, scoring ten goals ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-bamford/profil/spieler/183334)). However, [club record signing](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/4168627/leeds-united-sign-rodrigo-for-club-record-26m-fee#:~:text=Leeds%20United%20have%20signed%20Valencia,after%20a%2016%2Dyear%20absence.) Rodrigo has only scored [three](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-bamford/profil/spieler/183334) goals and Tyler Roberts has scored [none.](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tyler-roberts/profil/spieler/296986)

Football Insider’s report say Delort is “faster than (Kylian) Mbappe”, so perhaps he can bring a different threat to Elland Road.

With Leeds twelfth in the division ([SofaScore](https://www.sofascore.com/tournament/football/england/premier-league/17)), someone like Delort could be an ideal signing to bolster the attack and take a bit of pressure off of Bamford and help the club push higher up the table.
