# Leeds United: Fans bemoan Kalvin Phillips’ exclusion from EFL Team of the Week

**Plenty of Leeds United fans have bemoaned the exclusion of Kalvin Phillips from the EFL’s Championship Team of the Week.**

The Yorkshire-born midfielder didn’t make the XI, although Luke Ayling did following his winner against Bristol City [(EFL via LUFC)](https://twitter.com/LUFC/status/1229343597612412930). Phillips was in superb form against the Robins as he dominated in defence and attack for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, playing the most key passes and making the joint-most interceptions, the joint-most clearances and the joint-second most tackles [(via WhoScored)](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1381824/LiveStatistics/England-Championship-2019-2020-Leeds-Bristol-City).

His performance was lauded by retired striker Clinton Morrison, who claimed he will be in the Premier League next season, even if Leeds don’t reach the top-flight [(via BBC)](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p083j5bj). Indeed, the player has been linked with a move away from the club, with Manchester United said to be impressed by him [(via Football Insider)](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-man-united-set-sights-on-leeds-duo/).
