# Leeds United: Fans stunned after amazing statistic about their defence is revealed

**Leeds United fans were in dreamland after a statistic about the side’s defence this season emerged on social media.**

[According to LUFC Data](https://twitter.com/LUFCDATA/status/1204518733022150656), the Whites have conceded just 0.48 goals per game this term, no side in Europe’s top 5 leagues or any team in the top four tiers of English league football has a better defensive record in 2019/20.

The defensive improvement is a far-cry from how Marcelo Bielsa’s side ended last season, where they ended the year having conceded, on average, 1.16 goals per game [(via Tablesleague)](https://www.tablesleague.com/teams/leeds1/2018_2019/).

There was also the capitulation at home to Derby County in the Championship play-off semi-final second leg, where the side conceded four goals to lose the tie [(via BBC)](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48196167). Meanwhile, the Yorkshire side have conceded just six goals at home this campaign [(via Tablesleague)](https://www.tablesleague.com/teams/leeds1/2019_2020/).

Fans were left falling head over heels after the statistic emerged as they took to Twitter to react.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:
