# Leeds United: Fans hit out after Yorkshire Evening Post dismiss Jarrod Bowen links

**Leeds United fans were feeling less than happy after the Yorkshire Evening Post dismissed claims that the club were making a move for Hull City man Jarrod Bowen.**

[The Sun](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/10754858/jarrod-bowen-leeds-transfer-hull/?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=sunfootballtwitter&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1579191868) were claiming that Marcelo Bielsa’s side made a bid to sign the player on loan with the option of a permanent deal if the club earnt Premier League promotion. However, those claims have been brushed aside with [the northern-based publication](https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-united/latest-leeds-united-and-those-links-hull-citys-jarrod-bowen-and-watfords-andre-gray-1367741) claiming the outfit aren’t even targeting Bowen.

The attacker has been a brilliant asset for the Tigers this season, notching up 16 goals in just 27 appearances in the Championship [(via Transfermarkt)](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/leistungsdaten/spieler/314875). In comparison to [Patrick Bamford](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/109670/Show/Patrick-Bamford), the [Englishman](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/322596/Show/Jarrod-Bowen) has averaged more shots per game, showing greater threat in attacking areas.

Fans were left feeling displeased with the report dismissing claims of a bid for Bowen as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:

> A rumour that lasted around 11 minutes. Back down to earth with a bang. Don’t forget, we’ve been linked with every professional footballer in the last 4 windows.
