# Leeds United: Fans praise Kalvin Phillips after return to first-team

**Leeds United fans were praising Kalvin Phillips after the midfielder returned to the first-team in the victory over Hull City.**

The 24-year-old was suspended for the 2-0 win over Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town last weekend after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season against Middlesbrough.

Phillips has proven to be a key player for Marcelo Bielsa’s side this season, averaging the most tackles, the second-most key passes and third-most passes per game in the squad [(via WhoScored)](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/19/Show/England-Leeds).

His performances this season has seen him being linked with many clubs including Premier League giants Manchester United, who are said to have been blown away by the midfielder [(via Football Insider)](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-man-united-set-sights-on-leeds-duo/).

Fans were full of good messages for the player after his performance upon returning to the starting XI as they took to Twitter to lavish him with praise.
