# Leeds United: Fans unhappy after Phil Hay’s update on deadline day dealings

**Leeds United fans were expressing their disappointment after Phil Hay updated them on what the club want to carry out on deadline day.**

[According to The Athletic’s journalist](https://twitter.com/PhilHay_/status/1223149590674837505), the Whites have finished their business for the current transfer window and will make no more signings. Marcelo Bielsa’s side brought in two attackers and a ‘keeper this month with Ian Poveda, Jean-Kevin Augustin and Elia Caprile all joining the club.

Poveda joined the Yorkshire outfit on a four-and-a-half-year deal from Premier League giants [Manchester City](https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-united/leeds-united-secure-second-january-signing-ian-poveda-joins-manchester-city-1375388) and the 22-year-old forward joined from Bundesliga table-toppers Red Bull Leipzig on a [loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/jan/27/leeds-united-sign-french-striker-jean-kevin-augustin). Meanwhile, Caprile joined the team on a three-and-a-half-year deal from Serie B side Chievo, having never made a senior appearance [(via BBC)](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51199009)

Fans were left bemoaning the update from the famed Leeds correspondent as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:
