[According to Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/leeds-united-register-interest-in-adams/), the Whites have registered their interest in the 23-year-old after Marcelo Bielsa gave the club a ‘green light’.

Former Whites defender [Danny Mills](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-mills-in-awe-of-leeds-united-pursuit/) gave his opinions on a potential move, claiming it would be a good transfer due to Adams’ ‘proven’ track record in the Championship.

Adams has been struggling with the south coast club following his £15m move to St. Mary’s Stadium last summer [(via BBC)](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48826733).

He’s scored no goals despite featuring in move than 15 games across the Premier League and Carabao Cup [(via Transfermarkt)](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/che-adams/leistungsdaten/spieler/346779).

However, he does have a brilliant record in the second-tier of English football, having [scored 34 goals and assisted a further 13](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/che-adams/leistungsdaten/spieler/346779) in over 100 games for former club Birmingham City.

Fans were in disbelief over the potential move as they took to Twitter to react to links with Adams.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:

> Don’t believe for a second we’re getting Che Adams. I guess we’ll see but it just doesn’t sound like something Leeds would do.
