# Leeds United: Hector Bellerin discusses how hard it is to play against Bielsa’s side

**Leeds United came away from Elland Road with just a point on Sunday, despite a superb performance.**

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin discussed his opposition after the [0-0](https://www.sofascore.com/team/football/leeds-united/34) stalemate and praised the way in which Marcelo Bielsa’s side attacked his team.

### What Bellerin had to say about Leeds

Speaking following the match, Bellerin [said](https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/we-learning-how-suffer-hector-19328600): “I don’t know if people at home realise how difficult it is to play against a team like this. They know how they want to play. They literally don’t rest in the whole game and for us it is a challenge.”

### Bielsa’s influence

Despite the Whites suffering some [heavy defeats,](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/leeds-united/scores-fixtures) there have already been some great [results](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/leeds-united/scores-fixtures), including the draw to Manchester City and the 3-0 thrashing of Aston Villa.

These results and the words from Bellerin highlight that when he gets it right, Bielsa is having a big influence on the division. His aggressive tactics, which see opposition players not given any time to breathe, have been [praised](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8726269/Graeme-Souness-heaps-praise-Leeds-push-Liverpool-way-opening-day-thriller.html), and players like defender Luke Ayling have become [key](https://twitter.com/PhilHay_/status/1329394360610328577?s=20) for their attacking play in the final third.

If top players like Bellerin are discussing how difficult it is to face Leeds, then the club should have no worry of relegation this campaign, and that is all down to Bielsa’s excellence – perhaps no surprise given his recent nomination to [FIFA’s best manager shortlist](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55070903).
