# Leeds: Whites ‘definitely’ looking at Kai Wagner

**[Leeds United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/leeds-united-news/) are ‘definitely’ looking at a move for Philadelphia Union left-back Kai Wagner, according to transfer insider [Dean Jones](https://twitter.com/DeanJonesSoccer?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor).**

### The Lowdown: Wagner links

The Whites have been linked with adding to their left-back ranks following Junior Firpo’s injury in pre-season.

Jones, talking to [GiveMeSport](https://www.givemesport.com/88048087-leeds-now-definitely-looking-at-signing-198-game-star-at-elland-road), confirms that Wagner is ‘definitely’ a player of interest to Leeds officials following Firpo’s injury over the summer.

The 25-year-old appears to be at the peak of his powers with a career-high [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kai-wagner/marktwertverlauf/spieler/357842) valuation and would also provide an option as a left-midfielder if required.

Even when Firpo returns, Marsch will still be [light at left-back](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/leeds-united/kader/verein/399), so Wagner could provide fierce competition to the Spaniard throughout the season.
