Leeds United are now at an advanced stage in their search for a new manager, according to Adam Pope.Â

The Whites have struggled when it comes to replacing Jesse Marsch and have reportedly been turned down by a number of targets.
The club appear to have failed with moves for Raul, Carlos Corberan, Andoni Iraola and Arne Slot, with co-caretakers Michael Skubala, Chris Armas and Paco Gallardo taking charge of both fixtures against Manchester United over the past week.
It looks as if Andrea Radrizzani and the 49ers Enterprises are getting there, though, with an update coming from Elland Road in the last 24 hours.
The Latest: Leeds making progress
Pope took to Twitter on Sunday morning to share programme notes from chief executive Angus Kinnear in regards to the club’s search for a new manager.
Kinnear said that the ‘search for a new head coach is well advanced’, in a positive update for the Elland Road faithful.
The Verdict: Finally…
It looks as if there could be white smoke from Yorkshire in the coming days when it comes to a new manager, and it’ll be interesting to see who arrives after what has proven to be a complicated process.
This update is positive, though, with a potential replacement seemingly being kept under wraps by Radrizzani and the 49ers after failed moves for a number of candidates.
Time is of the essence after almost a week on the hunt for a new manager, and with crucial games coming up against relegation rivals Everton and Southampton, the sooner a manager can arrive and implement his ideas, the better.
